It's why I still like CDs. No stupid little in-the-ear headphones either.

Betcha I'd've smashed it repeatedly, or thrown it at a wall. That's what I do to things that anger me.

Which is why I'm surprsed my Genesis controllers worked as long as they did...

Hm. I have an iPod Mini, and it doesn't do that. Although I've never heard an iPod chowing down on Songs. It's crazy. I hate it when I hit mine or drop it.
So, good luck with your iPod! =D

From what I've heard, Apple's line of MP3 players - the famed "iPods" aren't really up-to-scratch. There are continual reports of manufactoring defects, incompatability issues and the like. They may have all the advertising, even that elusive "cool factor", but the truth is iPods just don't cut it.

Your probably better off buying an MP3 player from another company.

Of course, but what have the complainers been DOING with their iPods? (NOT LIKE THAT!) Seriously, it's easy to say they get a lot of complaints, and seeing how I own a nano people always tell me they scratch or snap easily, but I've not yet had any problems with it at all. Could be that I take care of it.

My iPod installed easily, and it's a few hours to charge it and only a few minutes to add songs to it. It's far easier than carrying a bunch of CDs around, which will get scratched and have such a small number of songs on them that you'd have to go through about 5, switching them around, just to hear the ones you want.

There are pros and cons for every model, but the same can be said for just about anything on the market.

My PS2 crackles, heats up and can't even play DVDs without skewering the sound. My PC crashes, loses Internet connection regularly and slows down. Though, it'd be silly to tarnish every model like mine with the same brush because other people who own one probably won't have any problem at all. Some might, but nothing is guaranteed to be perfect.

It's so easy to dismiss iPods as crappy if you havn't owned one. I did that too, but I've actually found it to be one of the most useful music-based machines I've owned. The sound quality is great too, and that's the most important thing about a music player, don't you think?

My only problem is the apparant fact that yobs do target people with white headphones, so I'll have to replace them very soon. Perhaps with some hook-over-the-ear ones, as I don't particularly like stick-in-the-ear headphones, but that's replacable. *shrug*

Honestly, I don't think it's fair to dislike an iPod just because it's an iPod, because, unlike most fads, this one is actually good.

You're probably right. I'm just recounting what a friend (who had done some research into this topic) told me.

Of course, I'd probably be biased anyway, since I've never been bothered with MP3 players, nor any music fashions in general.
