I know i might just sound like an annoying girl, BUT i believe every time they have a new Spyro game they ALWAYS change his voice into something more...

1) Girly-NO!!!
2) More of a teenage idiot-Oh god don't get me strted on those...
3) A DEEP moaning and groaning voice...-AHHH!!

They did that to Bianca too, but she had like a 'Hamster on helium' tone in ETD...and Hunter i beleive too...ALSO leaving out all the rest of the charcters more in the new games ...*cries*the only thing i can say is...

WHY?!?

((Sorry! BAD Spelling i know...*cries more*))

Well i've had my say, the rest i believe i LOVE! ^^

Well, I guess this point is mostly opinion... I cannot say that I mind the voices a lot, then again I admit not paying too much attenton to it except for Spyro's that is. I don't really notice the changes. I guess I'm one of the few that prefer Spyro's voice in the first game over the rest and as such, think of AH'sT on that point of view as an improvement. I never minded Tom Kenny, don't get me wrong on that... The texts were however worse in AH'sT.

Hunter sounded more mature like, somewhat intelligent even, but that doesn't really suit the character as we know him.

I guess the desire to improve a game, and as such editing things such as different voices are interpretted differently by person to person.

Somehow I get the desire to start comparing the voices throughout the different games.

If any game reach the hands of VU, the game series becomes ruined.

What is the point of changing the characters like that? Are they doing it keep with the tastes of its audience? I know it is important to keep an audience, but it is unacceptable to the original fans! >_<

I know some bad changes from Spyro 3 to AHT - No Bianca or Elora, Bentley is dumber, Hunter is smarter, even Red is out of character in HIS OWN GAME!!! =(

Not ENTIRELY true, look at gaming greats like HL2 and Warcraft. However, I feel VU is still a complete &^%)@#^%&#@)%&@)&$%)@#*%#)!%^*$(# of a company. They're just too much of a corporate giant, they don't care about any games that don't bring in the cash.

From what I can tell, they're making 2 HUGE mistakes in the Spyro series

1. Not everyone working on Spyro shares the passion for Spyro and games as a whole that Insomniac had and that we have.
2. They are given nasty deadlines, forcing bits to be cut out, such as Elora (someone said in another thread how one of the programmers wanted to include Elora, but couldn't due to time restraints)

Grr... dang VU...

I don't know why they kept changing his voice. The first two I liked Carlos Alazraqui and Tom kenny were good voices for Spyro in my oppinion. Jess Harnel just did NOT work for me. My mom said Spyro sounded like a drunken pot smoker in the 5th game.

I played Attack of the Rhynocs before Year of the Dragon. Because of the weird, whiny voice-type thing they had for Bianca, I was all set to assume that Bianca's voice was very whiny and crybabyish in Year of the Dragon. Boy was I blown out of the water. XP

Yes, VU has a problem with messing up character voices. My little brother can plug his nose while doing his "exaggerated idiot" voice, and it sounds like an exact replica of AHT Spyro, I swear. XP

And Hunter... we want our dummy Hunter voice back!

^ I agree. LISTEN UP V.U!... Bring back our stupid Hunter, intelligent bentley, not-a-pot-smoking-crack-head-up-himself-a-hole Spyro, Insomniac's GOOD programmers (or at least their good programming skills) and storylines that are AT LEAST better than half the Spyro Fanfics at FF, not your present barely-beter-than-1-or-2-due-to-serious-plotholes ones... or else we'll sue... Mary Sue, that is (he,he, nearly had VU scared there. Ooh, I could hear there hearts skip a beat when they read the word "sue." With any luck, maybe one of two will have a heart attack MUAHAHA!)

With Hunter I think they were aiming for 'cool' rather than 'good-hearted idiot'.
I don't know WHAT was going on with Bentley.
Moneybags? He took a really long holiday. For the worse.
I guess Bianca had no part to play in AHT, that or they're slowing trying to squeeze her out of the series. People are saying that Elora vanished for no reason, which I guess she did, but she only appeared in the epilogue for YotD. And she's probably busy managing Avalar. And as you'll note, Hunter appeared in the opening scene to YotD, indicating that he's either moved out of Avalar, or was just there visiting his friend. If he has moved out of Avalar, it explains why he's in AHT. Or he could again just be visiting Spyro in AHT.
There might be an offchance that the next PS2/3 Spyro game is set in Avalar, with Elora reappearing.
The Prof? Let's not go there.
I, like Charles Frost preferred his voice in Spyro 1, therefore, his voice is an improvement. His attitude however, is not. It's like they're trying to steer him towards the side of evil. Make him a 'fallen hero'. *light bulb* Perhaps, if they are, a future game, where Spyro is evil, you get to play as someone else, like Elora, Hunter, Bianca, etc.
Overall, AHT could be so much better. But I love it for the graphics and the music. And some of the character rehauls, really paid off for them, eg Gnasty Gnorc. ^^

Why complain about VU? They haven't done anything wrong.

Also...

SPYRO: I like his voice in AHT
HUNTER: I have played a demo of YOTD, and Hunter had a similar tone there to AHT.
BENTLY: AHT certainly had an improvement on Adventure, thats for sure.

I totally agree. In AHT, Spyro sounded terrible. I hope Tom Kenny returns, he was perfect for Spyro.

^ Amen to that.

I've decided to once again rant about VU.

1. The new Spyro the Dragon website is 99% flash, yet manages to look and feel completely... s***ishly childish.

2. They screwed up Spyro games (To be elaborated on...)

3. The caused him to cease to be one of the unofficial PS "mascots"

4. They stuffed up the characters' personalities

5. They stuffed up their voices.

6. They made games that didn't utilize the PS2 graphics system to its fullest potential (not nearly)

7. They made me cry (only briefly, but when I first played EtD - I had mixed emotions, primarily of anger and dispair. I wasn't sure whether to vomit, cry, or go on a murderous rampage, but I decided crying would be the least disruptive/messy of the three.)

8. VU made me so uptight that I forgot what else I was going to say...

Next poster, please continue...

I thought those voiceover things from the GBA games were a little weird as well...

Okay, Universal has made some good games, but because Spyro sorta changes hands with creators and people who make the games, we really can't count on anything being consistant unless the creators have played the previous games. Which is blatantly obvious that they haven't.
