« Thread started on: Oct 7th, 2004, 10:11pm »

I promised myself I'd write this story after I finished with TROC. Since I did, well...

Oracle of Shadows is the third installment of a series I wrote before TROC called Veil of Darkness. It involved an ancient demon by the name of Morphina. A picture of her is below this message. http://sitefights.com/community/fantasy/turquoisephoenix/gift_art__morphina.jpg

After the events of The Concealment of Evil, Ivy Thorn and her friends believed Morphina to be gone from their lives. Sadly, that wasn't completely true...

It all started with an injured dragon, washed up on the shore and inches away from death, vaguely warning about the Oracle of Shadows crumpling apart. Then a mysterious specter is sighted at Bluddwiek, bearing a scythe and the name "Holocaust". All these signs point to one thing; Morphina rising back into power.

Ivy Thorn, with her group of battle-hardened friends, have no choice but to travel to a mysterious island where both the Oracle of Shadows and Rosemary's birthplace resides amongst a serene paradise.

However, even the most beautiful flower can hide the most vemonous snake...

This is Holocaust. He's a rather sad sub-human from the Tomb of the Ancients. He's really not a bad guy; just that everyone believes him to be bad and he happens to live in a graveyard...

Y'know what, TP? You're the only person I know who can draw a demon and make it into something besides a shadowy-bat like creature. And I respect you for that.

Yeah. Instead of a shadowy bat-like creature, Morphina is a brightly colored lizard creature that spews venom and can shapeshift into anything she desires. cheesy

Funny. Holocaust and Morphina are more popular then the main heroes of that story.

Freya, for example, is a white wolf furry that has tattoos surrounding the area behind her ears so that she can cast spells. That's bound to be cooler then some wrench that lives in a graveyard that looks like a chicken zombie.

...Erm, right?

Which is good. Freya and Holocaust are rivals. Freya is a theif, while Holocaust is a murderer. They don't like each other; Holocaust hates Freya because she hates him for being such a monster.

Funny thing is, Holocaust is the future husband of Ivy Thorn, the hero of the story.
