I really hate that they just quit on Spyro like that and moved onto Ratchet and Clank. And now they are going for a war game on PS3! Man all the new Spyro games suck and have absolutely no respect for the original ones. I remember playing A Hero's Tail and all of a sudden Moneybags is a swami dude! No explination as to why, they were just like "meh, we don't like him in a tux".

Not to mention that in Enter the Dragonfly Ripto is back. Ignore that he was killed at the end of Ripto's Rage. No one asks questions, he doesn't explain, he's just back. The new games also leave out old characters and just throw in new ones. There was one dragon in Hero's Tail, I think her name was Ember? Anyway she might as well have parachuted into the game and decided she liked Spyro. And what about Elora? Did she stop existing?

God I am pissed about this.

Wel, if I recall, 'Year of the Dragon' did show Ripto returning in the epilogue, it was only one image but I'm sure he was there and quite alive. wink

Well, if they were just being ignorant, now they have a good excuse for it...although I hope whoever is coming up with the concepts for these games a VU has at least gotten a little in-depth with the original series....

God, it makes my blood boil. I wonder what Spyro would be like now if Insomniac had kept him. Elora would be by his side, Hunter would have the pride & stupidity that I loved and not the "Ha, ha look at me and what I can do with my cross-bow. Can you do it Spyro? I'll just save the day and get the Dragon Egg!" but instead "Hmph, good but can you do this? That was just luck." Sparx would just buzz like the dragonfly he is rather then TALK. Moneybags wouldn't be an arabic knacker and still be in his tx with his charm and wit, Some characters wouldn't have dissapeared off the face of the planet and the plots wouldn't be as stupid as a clown dancing a jig on top of a crocodile singing the hamster dance backwards.

Are you sure about that? I've beaten YotD several times over (with the second Sorceress match) and saw nothing in the entire game about Ripto. I mean he fell in lava. I think I would remember something as vital as that.

They should just pick up from YotD and ignore the other crap-fests. I have a friend who bought a Spyro game for Gamecube and thought it sucked (and it did). I don't want their only Spyro experience to be that crap!

They have no respect for the games at all. It's depressing. They act as if they can rewrite the games' entire history because they don't like what Insomniac made. But seriously what did happen to Elora? I mean everyone who's an Insomniac Spyro fan knew what was supposed to have happened...@.@

I was certain, but now I'm wondering if I'm getting it mixed up with something else. I'd play through the game to open the epilogue so that I could see, but, ah... one of the epilogue tasks is that ninja one with Agent 9 and I REALLY don't want to do that.

I'd open it up real quick but... there's sort of this little thing with me and selling all my old PS1 games and memory cards for money about a year and a half ago... and Year of the Dragon actually survived (I left it at the house when I left), but I don't have the data for it anymore and have no other PS1 memory cards...

...I got $0.50 for that memory card and all my hard work.
