xx Gnasty Gnorc; Should He Return?
« Thread started on: Aug 17th, 2004, 9:38pm »

I always thought of Gnasty Gnorc as the poorest of Spyro villains. He only had four lines, his boss battle was poor, and he wasn't exactly the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree.

And yet, I want him to have a cameo. The best we got after Spyro 1 was a little card in Spyro Orange and a mention in the Epilogue.

Who wants to see Gnasty Gnorc again? I don't care if he's a new lackey for Ripto; the first villain of Spyro is bound to give him some merit...

Well, since he was the first villain, he should at least be in one more Spyro game.

I mean, look at any other game's first villain, Sonic, Crash, Zelda, Mario, they all have their first villain still around as the main villain. Eggman's not going away anytime soon, Cortex is probably just tethered to Crash for this game, Ganondorf even escaped the Sacred Realm! Bowser, well, he's just persistent.

Gnasty needs to come back. I barely remember him, I was only 10 when Spyro 1 came out!

Yeah, and maybe he'll do more than just say 4 lines. (Perhaps he and Grendor should be in a game together! You all know what happened when they met up in I.T.H...)

Yeah, but there's the problem of Grendor being restored and all. I think he sort of pledged never to do wrong again after the game was over and he was changed into a shrimpy librarian again. undecided

That won't stop Grendor, though! The vice of evil is too tempting for a rhynoc...

But librarians are cool! Well, at least the ones near where I live: sixty year-old ladies that like AC/DC. grin

But I wish Gnasty would come back. But he should get a makeover and different armour so he looks like Gene Simmons of KISS!

In the Hero's Tale trailer, one boss Spyro was fighting looked like Gnasty Gnorc!

He'll be back. The epologue, Ripto mentioning his name at Molten Crater. It all fits!

Gnasty Gnorc returning in the new game. Somehow it doesn't surprise me, what with all the gnorcs in the trailer...

Here's me hoping that he has more then four lines. XD

Well, I suppose working for a dragon named after a bum from a movie and a Pokémon master is better than not being in the game at all.

Gnasty: Well, at least I'm a lackey and not some picture in the Epilogue...
Grendor: Speak for yourself. Most of the Spyro fans don't even know my name!

Yeah, I want Grendor to return in the game. Even as something as lowly as Moneybag's assistant would be nice. And maybe a cameo of a Crash character too. =)

I personally think Gnastly should indeed return, however, i'd like him to be somewhat smarter though, stronger aswell, motly so he'll put up more of a fight then he did in Spyro: The Dragon.

btw who is this Grendor figure that's mentioned so often? While reading about him in fanfictions I thought for a moment that he was the wizzard in Spooky Swamp (or however it is called) in YOTD, but I later learned, he had two heads... It bothers me that I'm unable to talk about him.

Grendor only appeared in the first GBA game as a two-headed librarian that only wanted to capture the fairies was to cure his two heads and the painful headache transformation brought him. (In the Spyro worlds, transformation hurts!)

To sum it up, he's a rhynoc librarian that practices magic, has given up being a bad guy, and isn't really that cruel of a villain.

That did look like Grendor, didn't it? That's weird, I always thought that Grendor was some spoofed idea off that wizard or something....
