Errm, you sound pretty confidant there, Jamique...

So, you are working for one of the big names in designing a Spyro storyline?
That's pretty cool.

I can't help but worry, though - to give everyone backstories, then fuse that into canon, would damage the fanfiction commuity, by pushing aside previous backstories and explanations. It also reduces the scope of speculation that so fuels the fan base.

To then cement a future of however many years, where Spyro ages, changes... it slams the door of possibility on so much that is. Yes, another "door" opens, but it'll be in a completely different "room", with different people passing through it.

I fear that such a project as what you describe could uproot the Spyro community at a most fundamental level.

*sigh*

This is coming out badly.

I apprictiate your efforts to revive the franchise, I truly do. You are a talented writer - I can tell from your 'canonfic'.

But, there comes a time when we should just let the franchise go - when we should pull the plug to Spyro's metaphoric life-support system, end the half-life, finish it once and for all.

The cries of misplaced hopes and dreams
Condense upon the glass.
As photons fly and children cry
For what they know has passed.
Farewell my confidant of the days
Of Holi that have been!
With heavy heart, I do depart,
And leave you now to dream

Well when you think of it Spyro won't ever totally end. You pull out life support but memories hang around right?

I see your point - often when people try to keep franchises going for too long they end up ruining the entire concept of the original. This is what I fear might have happened when the gane changed hands from one producer to another.

The Spyro movie has been put on the back burner for the time being. The script needs to rewritten and I am too busy working on an original novel called, Pandora's Gate at the moment. As for my fanfic series I will get back to writting it soon as I have some free time in my writting schedule. Sorry guys but these things do happen and I hate being the bearer of bad news. cry

Don't worry the film will happen... Just be patient. Happy new year.

DISCLAMER

We at 20TH Century Swallow are sorry to say, TLOS3D has been canceled. Everyone at Darkspyro is crying, and I know it would be a miricale if it was really released.

The replacement will be a new Spore film, "Avi", a story of courage that birds are indeed the future's only chance.

If you don't know why I put men as bad guys, please ask Missythemew. Sure, we clash sometimes, taiwave taismo blah blah, but hey.
