Virtual Reality doesn't sell well. Anyone remember the Virtual Boy? For those that don't, it's the only Game Boy system that flopped.

Also, how would the player perform Spyro's great feats of agility?

You know, maybe since Crash:Twinsanity is going in stores, Insomniac will make Spyro again and make Spyro team up with Ripto! *gasps!*

I heard Crash:Twinsanity has the help from the creator of "Ren&Stimpy!" I was RAISED by them since I was 5!shocked

I know! Even if this is off topic, remember "Log" and the weird dude whose face was made of cinnamon-sugar toast? I do. I'm not a big fan of the stupid ones they show on SpikeTV nowadays...

It would be weird to have Spyro virtual reality game? I don't have flame breath! And how would I charge; I would run into too much stuff! And you know about me fixing things with Krazy Glue....

Or even worse for the racing game: They'll put in monks, gemcutters, waterwizards, that explorer dude from Mystic Marsh, random rhynocs....hm, I wonder what Grendor would look like on a PS2 or Gamecube!

And why not? He's the only rhynoc who'd be considered "cute"! They can always model him after the GBA-version-rhynocs, just with PS2-type-polygons.

I just had a thought about if SPyro was a VR game. What if to make him do all those cool moves, you had to mimic the same moves yourself? And someone drops by to visit and sees you bouncing off the walls in front of the TV..........

No they won't think there's anything wrong if it's me. I'm like that normally. Either that or I'm headbanding or had too much sugar.

Recently I read an idea someone posted on some site, featuring an idea for a next Spyro game:

http://members3.boardhost.com/jekkal/

check the link, first post atm. I was wondering what you thought of it. the idea might be a bit different from what the Spyro games usually are like, yet it does sound rather cool, if I do say so myself.

i think spyro in a city would be great! i mean you could set fire to everything, and fly on roof tops, and all kinds of cool stuff, and avoid getting hit by a truck!

Nah. There's already a game like that. It's called Jak II.

A cool game idea would be something like Grunty's Revenge, where the next game takes place INSTEAD of one game, creating an alternate universe.

Like maybe an alternate universe where Spyro *thinks* he's the hero by hunting down Ripto, Gnasty Gnorc, and the like, but it turns out that he's only doing this because the elders have been lying to him about something important. And in doing so, he finds out that he's not a dragon from those kinds of realms, but really the prince of a fallen civilization that the dragons adopted. And then, when Spyro goes back to the civilizations, he finds out that he's the Son of Ripto! (Or someone else, if you believe that Ripto is in his mid twenties like I do.)

It'd be one of those head-scratcher games, but hey, alternate universes are cool. grin
